On Wednesday 3/31/10 the Hampton Emergency Squad was requested mutual aid into Washington Twp, Warren County to assist Washington EMS(Sta.83) and Washington Twp FD(Sta.76) with a 2 vehicle MVA with entrapment on Rt.31 in front of the Sunoco gas station. Arriving units found a 2 vehicle MVA, involving a pickup truck with heavy front end damage with 1 person entrapped, along with 1 vehicle overturned with its occupants self extricated. Hampton was quickly called to assist with rescue services and an ambulance. While crews from Washington worked on extricating the driver of the pickup truck, a MEDEVAC helicopter was called in due to the possibility of serious injuries, but was later canceled once the patient was extricated and evaluated. Once the patient was extricated from the pickup, he was placed in a waiting ambulance and transported to a local trauma center by ground. Once again crews from Hunterdon and Warren County worked hand in hand to save a life.
