At approx 1945 on 5/4/11 Hampton EMS, Hampton and Glen Gardner Fire Companies, Hunterdon Medical Center ALS and High Bridge Rescue were dispatched to a serious MVA with entrapment on Rt.31 near School St in Glen Gardner. HMC ALS was first to arrive on scene and immediately began treating the passenger of the van who had serious injuries, a Medevac helicopter was requested to fly immediately. Hampton EMS arrived within 3 minutes and quickly requested a second ALS unit and Medevac for the driver of the white van who was entrapped, while crews began treatment and extrication of the second victim, other crews began treating the drivers of the other 2 vehicles involved. Two additional ambulances were quickly requested to the scene to assist with transports, High Bridge and Clinton Rescue both responded with one BLS. The driver of the gold SUV was also entrapped and required extrication by fire/rescue crews. Both victims of the van were transported to the a landing zone that was established at Glen Gardner park and then flown to a local trauma center by NorthSTAR and Atlantic Air 1 Medevacs. Once the driver of the gold SUV had been extricated, she was transported by ground to another local trauma center. The driver of the 3rd vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported a local hospital. Crews from all departments involved worked very well together to treat and extricate all the victims
